Will I ever stop drawing Hong Kong? Probably not. Here is number 13 in the Travel Sketchbook series, the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. The day we went was windy, and the Buddha shifted in and out of view behind the clouds. Print here.

Finally done! Here is the path to Ten Thousand Buddha temple, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. I wanted to include some of my favourites from the golden statues that line the path up the mountain. As ever, here is a print if you would like one.

Here's my latest piece, an editorial Illustration about the ongoing disagreements between China and Japan over ownership of the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands. (There is an interesting article about it on the Economist, if you are would like to have a read.) This one is designed to frame an article, hence the big white space in the middle! It's a fun challenge to design things for different formats. I also really enjoyed getting my brushes and ink out for this one; I have been trying to do more drawing in sketchbooks and away from the computer lately which is why it's been a bit quiet around here. Sorry! I'll be back soon with something that I've been working on for a while...

A while back I did some pixel art over at a now-dead tumblr, and one of the things I made was these, a tribute to one of my favourite games and classic pulp fiction. I still like them so I thought I would share them with you all here, and also let you know that there is free shipping in my shop until January 13th. Use this link to get it. Thanks for watching!

A colour study for my next travel sketchbook piece, the Ten Thousand Buddha temple (also known as Man Fat Sze) in Sha tin, Hong Kong. This was one of my favourite places from my trip to Hong Kong.
Finished!
Work in progress! Today's post is a quick colour sketch of the castle from 'Mirror mirror', a fun film with great visual design. The same director also did 'The Fall' which looks amazing too. My next project after finishing the travel sketchbook series will be a set of postcards from fictional places, because I really love all the world designing that goes on in films and games, and I want to have a go at drawing some that I admire. If you have any suggestions for amazing looking films or games, please let me know so I can check them out.
